Beginners Sewing Course – Level 1
Starts Wednesday 13 April 7-9pm for 6 weeks £125
This is a great class for the complete novice or those with a “last did it at school” experience. Start with the basics from threading a bobbin, elementary stitches and understanding different fabrics/patterns. You’ll then gain confidence and momentum whilst making a project using your new skills ready to move onto our next steps classes.
Absolute Beginners – learn to use a sewing machine – Level 1
One day course 10 – 5pm Saturday 23 April (Adults 16+) £99
Get your Sewing Machine Driving Licence in this fun and really original class, it does not matter if you do not have a machine (Yet !) this is aimed to get you right on track and you will leave wanting to sew, sew much! FREE Sewing & Knitting Taster – 1 hour
Japanese Cushion Course – Level 2
Monday 18 and 25 April 7-9pm £50
Using conventional stitches and exploring techniques like folding and pleating into textiles, this course will get your creative juices flowing. This class combines some traditional sewing techniques to create a beautiful cushion cover, you will also learn how to insert a zip enclosure.
Free Sewing Taster
Saturday 14 May – 2pm, 3pm and 4pm
Learn to thread a machine, basic stitches, Q&A. Come and met our lovely teachers and find out how creative you can be. We will even give you tea and cakes.
Art for Beginners
Friday 1 April 10am – 1pm £40 per person
What do you do with those favourite quotes, ideas, dreams and wishes? Join our very own author to create beautiful art journals, a place you combine art and words to express yourself. An inspirational way to explore and develop your inner creativity. You don’t need any drawing skills.
Art Journals – the next steps
Tuesday 26 April 10am – 1pm £40 per person
A follow on workshop to expand your skills to continue and develop your journal. You’ll learn new skills, tips and tricks. This is art therapy with a new twist – get lost in your imagination.
