Make a Unicorns, Mermaids & Dragons Charm Bracelet

A ‘charming”‘ time for budding jewellers!
Children will love to design and make their own fantastical charm bracelets and wish pendants, along with a bespoke jewellery box to take their new accessories home in, if they are not wearing them!
It’s all things magical in this unicorns, mermaids and dragons inspired workshop. The children will be introduced to the jewellery making materials and have fun together exploring design ideas.

Sew a Mini Messenger Bag
Date: Monday 12 February
Time: 2-4pm
Cost: £18
Age: 8-11 years

In this class we make this great little bag which is perfect to fit, keys, lip gloss our phones and some coins in. The bag is a cross body bag with a flap front and button finish, we will be learning how to sew linings and using different features on the sewing machine like creating button holes and top stitching and adding trimmings to our super useful bag! This bag can be adapted for girls and boys too!
Skill level – suitable for anyone having completed the Kids Driving Licence (or equivalent experience of using a sewing machine not for absolute beginners).

Kiddy Cook Edible Valentines Workshop

Date: Tuesday 13 February
Time: 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
Children will get the full experience of making a healthy, nutritious, delicious choc-dipped heart biscuit that they will decorate with an array of edible decorations. Free of refined sugars and flours, the Kiddy Cooks will leave this workshop armed with a recipe that is sure to feed their families with love for years to come. This edible gift will be wrapped and ready to be given to a loved one the next day, along with a handmade card, and a mini kit to re-create at home.

Cost: £45 includes all materials and equipment
(students can bring their own machines but please let us know make and model info)

In this class we cut and make a simple pair of jogging pants and add pockets and, if time, some logos. This is a great class for starting to use different fabrics and learning a little bit more about clothing and we explain about garment construction, fit and fabrics and fashion.

Art in the Park – Draw A Transformer

Come along this February Half Term to design and draw your own Transformer; working out what special skills they have and how they transform. A perfect class to hone in on drawing skills whilst having a bit of fun.

Origami Lucky Stars

Age: 6-11 years

Chinese New Year falls on 16 February 2018, and this year is the Year of Dog! This class will help your children learn drawing and colouring skills to create their very own cute dog design on foam board. As an extra exciting twist they will learn how to make origami Lucky Stars! We will string these together and attach to the dog as a special collar!  They will leave with a high quality piece of work and lots of new arty skills to impress their friends and family!

Sew a Monogram Cushion

Date: Friday 16 February
Time: 1-4pm
Cost: £28
Ages: 8 – 11 years

In this class we construct a patchwork cushion and fashion an applique initial onto the fabric. This is a great class to up junior skill levels learning how to piece flat fabrics together and also how to over and edge stitch and create applique/add decorative elements and buttonholes if time!
